Thanksgiving Weekend!!

We had a very eventful weekend with 2 Thanksgiving dinners and shopping! I got the Christmas tree up last night and stayed up until almost 2:30 am doing laundry just so I could enjoy the lights by myself!

On Saturday we went to my parents house for dinner. We got our old pictures out and then watched the old home movies from when my mom was born and growing up! Wow, Springdale has changed so much! I still love it! The crazy hair-dos, dresses and glasses were so cute! Sometimes I wished I had all of it!

I am so ready for Christmas to get here. I hope everyone had a great week and are looking forward to the next month with Christmas shopping!!

Guest List: To Do or Not to Do, that is the ?

Hello all!!

Travis and I have been making our guest list for the wedding and we have everyone we want there to spend the special day with us on there. The problem? WE ARE OVER!! Our sweet chapel holds 120 guests, our list? 190!! Can you say FREAKING OUT?!?

The hardest part is picking who you really want there to spend that special time in your life with you. A list of things I have been thinking about...

• Does it matter how long I have known them?
• Have I really talked or hung out with this person in the past 6-9 months?
• Do I know they are a TRUE friend?
• Would they invite me to THEIR wedding?
• Do I just invite some really close friends to the ceremony and the rest to the reception?

There are a lot of things going on in my mind....but it will work itself out. I know it will. I just have to pray and leave it up to Him.

On a better note....I'M OBBESSED WITH PINTREST!!! I have so many ideas for my Rustic Chic wedding that I thought were original, NOPE! They've been done, many of times. So here are a few things I'm looking at.

There are so many people I no longer have on Earth with me that I want to be at the wedding. What a great way to show that they are still with me in Spirit.

I don't like going to weddings where they ask you are you here for the bride or groom? Does it really matter? You are here for the MARRIAGE of the both. Sit where you want!

First Post!! :)

Well...people have been telling me to get a blog and at first I was TOTALLY against it. Like who really needs to know what is going on in my life at every moment. But I got to thinking "This might help me keep track of being engaged and what happend over the whole YEAR of planning!"

Our wedding is in less than 9 months and I am so super excited to be marrying my best friend! Some of our other friends are getting married next year as well. I think as of right now I am going to 4 weddings, including mine! I am so very excited for this time in our lives. It is really a joyful time.

My fiance (do not know how to do the little hash mark yet) and I have been dating for almost 5 years! We recently bought a house in Bentonville about a year ago. We LOVE it here! I know I always said "I will never move to Bentonville from Springdale." Let's face it, it is really nice up here...and it's closer to work!

I hope everyone enjoys reading this blog and helping me throughout these next 9 months of planning for my dream DIY wedding! I'm super excited!
